Welcome to your perfect beach getaway in beautiful Kill Devil Hills! Salt Box is a charming 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom oceanside home that is just steps away from the pristine beaches of the Outer Banks.  Located less than a quarter mile away from the beach access, Salt Box is the ideal location to host your next OBX family vacation.  The home is dog-friendly, so be sure to bring your pups along to enjoy in the fun as well!

The open living area is perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. Kick back on the couch, watch your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV, or simply unwind by the electric fireplace with a good book.  The fully-equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare delicious meals.  Step outside onto the 3 spacious decks where you can enjoy your morning coffee, dine al fresco, or enjoy the sunset. Escape the sun with a nap on the hammock or socialize in the ample covered space and seating under the house. The fenced backyard is perfect for your four-legged family members to run and play freely.

This cozy home comfortably sleeps 6 guests. The master bedroom offers a queen-sized bed with an ensuite bathroom. The second and third bedrooms are perfect for kids or additional guests, with a queen bed in one and three twin beds (bunked and single) in the other.  There are 2 full bathrooms, ensuring everyone has plenty of space to get ready for a day of beach fun or exploring the local attractions.  Just a short walk away from the beach, you can spend your days swimming, building sandcastles, or taking leisurely strolls in the surf and once you're back to the home, wash off the sand in the privately enclosed outdoor shower.

Close to everything: Salt Box is conveniently located in central Kill Devil Hills where you can explore the historic Wright Brothers Monument, dine at fantastic local restaurants, or shop for unique souvenirs at nearby stores.  Whether you're here for the beach, the history, or the relaxation, you'll find it all right at your doorstep.

Beach Access:  Just a quick trip to the Atlantic Street Beach Access, complete with paved parking, outdoor showers and a lifeguard (in-season).

A Perfect Beach Stay!
This home is a wonderful rental for a week in OBX. With 3 comfortable rooms and 2 full baths and outdoor shower, it served as perfect stay for our group. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped with all you need to feel at home. The porch was one of our favorite features with access off the main living area it was a space we utilized constantly! Also having a gate at the top of the porch stairs made it safe for our pup to run around and enjoy the fresh air without the worry of stairs. The location was also a plus - near many restaurants, grocery stores and bars and just a short walk to the beach with a convenient access point. Overall, everyone in our stay was satisfied and we look forward to renting again!

Book this house!
Okay, this house is wonderful. It’ location, it’s comfort, it’s cozy, it is the perfect beach getaway! You are walking distance to the beach (a public entrance) and walking distance to some of the OBXs most classic restaurants and stores. My family had the best experience. We were able to enjoy the spring weather and walk to the beach, walk to dinner, walk to breakfast and enjoy all the OBX has. Do yourself a favor and book this house!

Relaxing
Even in the off season this was a cozy getaway. Fireplace in the evening was perfect! Located close enough for a walk on the beach or local restaurant and brewery.

Easy long weekend stay
The house is in a great location for exploring the Outer Banks and the nearby beach, and it had everything we needed. The fenced back yard was great for letting our dog get some fresh air in peace and safety.

Fantastic Location
This property is within walking distance to the beach, several restaurants, grocery stores, and shops. The kitchen is well equipped. The private fenced in back yard is perfect for your pets. The beds were not the most comfortable and the sheets are stiff. If you have sensitive skin (or a sunburn) you might want to bring softer sheets. Overall it was a great stay!
