TJ's Beach Bungalow is your dog-friendly and family-friendly retreat located on the oceanside in Corolla Bay. This beautiful coastal-themed home has everything you need for a fun, relaxing, and memory-filled Outer Banks vacation, including thoughtful disability-friendly features designed to make your stay more comfortable and convenient. The Corolla beaches are just a short walk away where you can spend your days basking in the sun, searching for seashells and sea glass, swimming, surfing, or enjoying peaceful walks along the shore. Back at the house, you and your dogs can unwind in your own fenced backyard oasis featuring a private pool (pool heat available for an additional fee) and hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach.

The top-level great room offers the ideal gathering space to watch TV, prepare favorite meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and enjoy dining together while sharing stories from the day's adventures. For rainy days or downtime, the lower-level rec room provides a cozy spot to watch sports or movies and includes a wet bar with a mini-fridge and microwave so snacks and drinks are always close by. When it's time to recharge, the mid-level features a king en-suite bedroom with a private deck, along with a queen bedroom and pyramid bunk room. The lower level includes two twin beds, giving everyone a comfortable place to rest and relax.

Designed with accessibility in mind, TJ's Beach Bungalow features an elevator with access to all levels, making groceries, luggage, and mobility throughout the home easier and more convenient. Grab bars in the bathrooms provide additional support and comfort, helping guests of varying mobility needs enjoy a more accommodating stay.

Exploring the area: Corolla Bay community offers sidewalks, a swimming pool, a bathhouse, shuffleboard, horseshoes, playground and picnic areas. Located in the heart of Corolla you are within driving distance of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Historic Corolla Park and Corolla Village, and the four-wheel drive beaches as well as many local restaurants, shops, and other outdoor activities.

Beach Access: Head right out of the Corolla Bay neighborhood onto Herring Street.  The raised access walkway is at the end of the street and provides easy access to beach!

This community is nice and quiet. Also very dog friendly. The house is very nice. We were all very comfortable. The pool was great. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils to make cooking at home easy.

Relaxing gateway! Pool/hot tub/elevator!
Great stay at TJ Bungalow! Neighborhood was a .4 mile easy walk to the beach. You can use the community pool, but such a plus to have your own pool and hot tub. Pool is shaded until 11am, huge plus for the grandparents. We loved that everything was organized (labels on light switches, ample hooks). Elevator was so helpful for us and transporting luggage/food. Only 5-10 minute drive to the grocery store, lighthouse, putt-putt and more! We loved this home!!

Great house, nice furnishings and the elevator was a huge plus. The fenced in yard with grass was great for our dog to avoid a leash outside every time they needed to go out. The ability to flex for a whole week's stay in the OBX was nice. We will keep this home in mind for future bookings.

Top Notch Property!
I stayed here in August 2024 with my family (mom, uncle, and college age children), and we had an amazing stay. I was really impressed with the little things that are provided with the house that make a huge difference. For example, the house had a rolling cart which, when combined with the elevator made hauling groceries in super efficient. It also can double as a drink cart. ;) There is enough room for everyone to gather and be together, but there is also enough space for people to spread out and be able to have their own space. The private pool is a great amenity, as well as the hot tub, and we got a lot of use out of both. For those of you with little ones, there are lots of pool toys as well as a lot of beach gear. In previous rentals I have had, these little things were often afterthoughts, just random collections of surplus stuff, but all of the amenities provided appear to be thoughtfully planned. We did not have any issues during our stay, and our only complaint was that vacation wasn't long enough. Walking distance to the beach is only 1/4 of a mile, so is definitely manageable. We're looking forward to another family vacation here.

Great getaway!

Great summer vacation
Great property! Clean and well appointed! The kitchen could use some new pans as teflon was scratched and peeling on most, but I realize that happens in rental properties. Kitchen could also use a bigger stock pot. Also should be in the listing that dogs are not allowed in the pool.

A Wonderful Property
This house is ideally located near the local beach and town of Co ralla. It was fully and beautifully furnished with comfortable beds, seating and dining. The small pool was nice and the larger community pool a short walk across the street and lovely too. Kitchen was fully stocked for all our baking and cooking needs. Loved our time there and would highly recommend!

Can’t wait to stay here again!
House was amazingly clean and had absolutely everything we could need or want. From the beach toys, pool toys, kitchen appliances and even board games. Everything was organized and labeled. The elevator was a life saver from my mom and elderly dog, and the baby gates at the stairs were great safety feature. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend this. We had a fabulous experience.

One Great Beach House
A week in this lovely home was not enough for me! There's no amenity that it lacks. From elevator & beach carts, to really sturdy bikes (that hold a lot of weight) and a great neighborhood for biking, this house has it all, including the sweet sound of the ocean! The short stroll to the wide and uncrowded beach was easy and almost entirely on the boardwalk. There were beach carts provided that made carrying beach gear a piece of cake. Actually, a piece of cake was about the only thing TJ's Beach Bungalow didn't provide and we had everything we needed, right at our fingertips, to make our own. What a great vacation we enjoyed here!
