WH476 Second Wind

Another wonderful visit to our favorite place. This recently updated home has wonderful decor choices while keeping a comfy, welcoming, at home feeling. It has everything needed for preparing fresh meals and colorful dining. We enjoyed the outdoor grill and shower. Great ocean views from the deck. It’s great for togetherness yet has separate decks and room to sneak away for me time. A short walk to the beach and close to shopping. Only a few minutes from the Whalehead club where you find much history and great sunsets. We loved it there! Thanks for sharing your space with us.

Our girls trip was amazing! The location was perfect! Only two blocks from the beach like a 2 minute walk! The house was perfect and so cute! The beds were comfortable, pillows were a ok. The living room couch was soooo comfortable! It accommodated all of us so well and had plenty of parking and space for us to hang out. On the 2nd night we layed out on the deck and watched the meteor shower that was happening during our stay! It was awesome!

As you can see from the title this was a return stay for the two of us. We love this house! Its location is perfect. It faces the ocean & is a very short walk to the beach. We liked our early morning walks The house is very do-able. It’s well furnished & very clean. The kitchen has everything you would want. The cabinets & drawers are all labeled which helps you quickly navigate. Our biggest pleasure was the balcony off the living room on the second level which is partially covered. Great place for ocean breezes & a glass of wine! Great outdoor shower after beach use or a shower naurale Bedrooms are ample. Beds are very comfortable. Plenty of good restaurants in Corrola. You can’t miss with this one! Try it!

We had a fantastic stay at Second Wind—it was exactly what we needed. The house is in a great location: a quick walk to the beach, super close to grocery stores, shops, and restaurants, and tucked into a quiet, walkable neighborhood that made everything feel easy and relaxed. The house itself is updated, clean, and thoughtfully furnished with everything you could want for a beach getaway. The outdoor shower was a huge plus after sandy afternoons, and we appreciated how well-equipped the kitchen and living spaces were. It felt like a home away from home. We brought our teen and his cousin, and the layout worked perfectly for both adults and kids to have space to hang out or wind down. We’d absolutely stay here again—highly recommend!

Our stay was so wonderful! Very accessible to beach by foot. I spent every evening on the beach or looking at the ocean view. The house is comfortable and well supplied. The location is very convenient for shopping. The community is great for bike riding and golf carts.

This was our 5th year at this wonderful house. It has a great updated homey, personal feel with a fully stocked kitchen and all the amenities you need for a great week at the beach. Great water view from the deck, easy access to the beach and close to grocery store, shopping and many restaurants. Highly recommend!

Second Wind definitely lives up to its name!! This home is beautifully appointed but maintains a relaxed, beachy, cozy and welcoming vibe. The beach walkway is just a few steps from the property and a short walk to the beach. Our group loves to cook and the kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. The upper deck provides an amazing view of the sunrise. We enjoyed coffee every morning and happy hour every evening from the deck. We have been repeat guest since 2020. We enjoyed seeing the transformation this house went through a few years. This home is truly delightful and lovingly cared for. We can’t wait to come back!!!!

Second Wind is our absolute favorite beach retreat! We’ve been staying at this home for years and can’t say enough great things. The owner clearly takes excellent care of this home - each room is thoughtfully laid out without being cluttered. The upper level living area provides a full kitchen equipped with all the fixtures needed for a gourmet dinner or a quick bagel breakfast! The decks are the perfect relaxation area where you can feel the breeze and unwind. As multi-AirBnB property Superhosts, we have high standards. We absolutely will not stay anywhere else in the Outer Banks! I can confidently say you won’t regret staying at Second Wind!

My family and I rented this absolutely beautiful beach house the first week of June 2024. This house had everything we needed to feel at home and relax… and extras that we LOVED! This home has been lovingly cared for, updated and the decor is just a perfect beach vibe! The kitchen is immaculate and stocked with more dishes, cups, and appliances than I have in my own kitchen! We loved sitting out on the deck every night talking about our day and we watched the most perfect sunrises every morning right from that same deck! The best part of this home is its location. We walked a very short path right onto the beach. It was close enough for us to take a break from the sun several times and then just a 2 minute walk right back to the sand! It is only a mile from the shopping center where there are several restaurants and a grocery store. This home truly was what we needed for a week of relaxation! This will be the rental we choose year after year and we can’t wait to go back!
