Group of 14 family with our adult kids spouses, and all the grandkids, perfect house for us with the 8 big bedrooms, pool, & hot tub, short walk to great beach, not too crowded even over 4th of July. Our 3rd big family trip to OBX over 15 years CCV was responsive to all our requests Mostly all pluses++ Minuses - 1. Drive conditions bad, permeable concrete block, poorly constructed, lots of broken uneven, blocks displaced, sand fill washed out, tripping hazard for little ones and adults, Don’t try a stroller on it, scrapes from falls to kids, 2. A couple of the adult beds were not comfortable but most others ok 3. Shower in master bath is tiny, disappointing, but a giant jetted-tub if you like that. 4. Pool was a bit small for a big group, but younger kids loved it 5. Hot tub was nice, but a bit small. 6. No disposal in the Kitchen sink is not good when cooking for a large group and cleaning up, faucet is an odd configuration. 7. water takes forever to get hot in the sink and 3rd level, common issue if the tank is ground level without a hot water loop. 6. Fridge water filter needed changed for who knows how long. We had a good trip, kids had fun, had lots of great Hot beach days, kids enjoyed the pool daily. Close to good restaurants like Sugar Creek, Millers, and the Fish heads beach bar & Pier 1 mi. South. The house was a good value based on our search for 8 bedroom place, fun but not luxurious, wet-bar, mini fridge, game room, pool table, grill, 2 full fridges, good freezer space.

Hi Hal, Thank you for your review. We are so glad you all had a good time over 4th of July! We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention. Of course somethings are what they are as far as size of the pool, hot tub, and shower in the master. The property does not have a disposal on purpose as it is on private septic. Our teams will be going over to take a look at the, hot water (which you may be right, it could be the location of the hot water heater), and the mattresses. We will be reaching out to the owner about the driveway this off season as unfortunately, it isn't something that we can take care of between guests. We hope you all enjoy the rest of your summer and we look forward to welcoming you back to The Outer Banks the next time you visit!

We really enjoyed our stay in Fireflies. It was very roomy for our large group and affordable as well. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked compared to other places we have rented. We brought along items that we really didn't need! The furniture was mostly comfy, but a couple of armed LR chairs need some attention. The TV worked fine once we figured it out. The walk to the beach wasn't too bad if you're carrying a light load. We chose to drive all our beach "stuff" over in a couple vehicles which we left parked in the public lot and then most of us walked back and forth to the house. Coastal Carolina staff were very attentive to our messages, bringing over the couple of things that were needed like balls for the Foosball table. On the last night we welcomed Tropical Storm Ophelia and discovered that the wind driven rain was flooding around the driveway entrance door. They might want to take a look at that. It never went past the entryway tile floor so we saw no need to call anyone since we were leaving the next morning. All things considered it was a great house and wonderful vacation. Too bad it couldn't get picked up and set on the beach front!

The house was perfect for me and my grown children and their families. Plenty of space to spread out as well as gather together. The pool table was a hit. The proximity of the pool and hot tub was also good for small groups to spend time. Beach access is easy with no stairs at either of the 2 very close access points. We've vacationed in the Nags Head area for the past 30 years. As my 5 children have grown to adulthood and started families, our house requirements have changed. This was the first year that I didn't rent from the same local real estate company due to availability. I'm glad I found this house on VRBO, and will check again next year.

I've rented a few vacation homes in OBX, and this one by far had the most space, open area, and comfortable furniture for the price. The beach access is only a short 2 minute walk, and the area was relatively quiet and peaceful - the beach wasn't very crowded either! The kitchen had a ton of cookware and appliances, and there were plenty of large tvs to enjoy during the rainy days. The pool is on the smaller side, and most of the decks have private access - but they match what you see in the photos, so no surprises there. Everything seemed fresh and clean! My only suggestion would be to add or bring some kind of light shade for the hot tub - like a sun blocking umbrella or a canopy.

Plenty of bedrooms and open space. Kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware. The furniture is very comfortable, and there were several good sized TVs. The decks are all disconnected, amd the pool is on the smaller side, but still big enough for several people to have a good time. Access to the beach was close, and the location was nice and quiet.

Our extended family of 16 found the property to be enjoyable. The privacy, beautiful view, and easy walk to the beach were additional pluses. The back decks and pool area were very private. The preserve aspect in the back gave us a unique experience to view coastal vegetation and wildlife.

We had a great week hanging with family on the beach. House was great and really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Only complaint was the mattresses were stiff and pretty noisy, definitely need to be replaced.

Location was great. Pool and hottub were nice too. We did have a leaky freezer and the tubs took a long time to drain. My only other recommendation is to have more kitchen items (serving spoons for example) but overall we had a great time. It's nice to not have neighbors looking into the pool and hot tub area!
