Dunesbury: Pet-friendly, oceanfront home located in the Ocean Sands community in Corolla that offers a cozy getaway, easy access to the beach and use of the community tennis court.

Dunesbury will make your vacation as carefree as possible. The mid-level sun deck is well furnished where you can start your day with a cup of coffee while you breathe in the ocean air and make your plans for a fun-filled day or hang out on the screened-in porch with a favorite book.  With a well-equipped kitchen, the chefs in the group will love preparing a meal any time of the day. The living area allows everyone to relax in comfort to watch movies, play games and create unforgettable family memories. The top-level king room offers ocean views and a private deck, and a queen room and two kids' rooms give everyone a comfortable place to retreat for the evening. Pack up the family and doggies and let Dunesbury be your OBX getaway year after year and leave fully rejuvenated.

Community Amenities: Dunesbury guests have access to the Ocean Sands community tennis courts. Note: Trailers, boats, and mobile homes/RVs are not allowed to be parked in the driveways of any Ocean Sands properties; parking is only permitted in the driveways of homes; golf carts and motorized carts/scooters/buggies are also prohibited in Ocean Sands.


Exploring Corolla: Dunesbury is located near the Currituck Club golf course, Harris Teeter grocery store, and several restaurants and shops. Explore the beautiful Outer Banks and all its treasures of historic sites, lighthouses, outdoor adventures, local restaurants, and unique shops.

Dunesbury was the perfect spot to experience Corolla for the first time. Gorgeous sunrises greeted us every morning as we relaxed on our beachfront porch. The retro decor was delightful and there was more than enough room for plenty of family and friends. Coastal Carolina was helpful and very easy to work with. We loved the whole experience. Loved staying at the Dunesbury, we had a great time. So close to beach access. Rooms were cozy,beds were comfy. Love the outdoor screened in porch!! We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Corolla beach! So many choices on the coozies, we actually left one from the wedding we attended! Also left a couple of sea shells, added to the collection there. My husband loved the outdoor shower, only thing that it doesn't have was a light for night down there. Also maybe invest in a k cup coffee maker, that's all we brought with us, however a quick trip to the store and problem solved! All in all, I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to be close to beach access and privacy! Thanks Carolina coastal vacations, you were on top of everything from before checking in to after checking out!!

Great vacation rental. Perfect for our family- 5 adults and 1 teenage kid. Access is everything. Easy walk on the boardwalk and stairs across the dunes to the beac. Only a 5- min walk to Harris Teeter, and also easy to do long beach walks. We ate out a couple of meals

Family vacation.
We loved the old school vibe. The deck, upstairs balcony and screen porch were great outdoor spaces. Access to the beach was close and easy and having Harris Teeter close by was a bonus. The 4 bedrooms and 2 baths were just right for our family. We also enjoyed looking at books in the property about history of the Outer Banks.

Great stay on the beach!
We loved the proximity to the beach. Great for our young children. The view from the top balcony of the ocean is fantastic. Loved hearing the waves crashing!

Perfect!
We loved every minute of our stay here! I think the fact that it’s an older home adds to the charm, and it’s very quintessential Outer Banks. Extremely close to the beach as well. We will definitely be back :)

The most unique home we have ever stayed in
We loved the house. It's an old property, but very comfortable. It was a lot of house for two people, but it was one of those things. Who did we want to spend a week with. Turned out to be no one. And that was just fine. I have been under a lot of stress since December and this was exactly what I needed. It take a bit to figure out the switches and thermostats, etc. But its just a cool comfortable house. I want to go back next year.

Perfect space and great location
Even though the property is dated, it is clean and spacious. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Minor issues were immediately attended to. Everyone had a wonderful time... Ceiling fan issues should probably be tended to before hot weather. Thanks for a great time

What a relaxing week at Dunesbury!
A recent stay at Dunesbury provided a lifetime of memories for my mother and me, along with a dear friend of mine. Location-wise, this is the perfect place! The two-story cottage is situated right on the beach with an access point immediately to the right of it. A quick walk over the dunes leads you to the beach, which stretches for miles in either direction. The cottage has four bedrooms and can easily sleep twelve comfortably. I loved the screened side porch that was decorated with miniature lights and furniture. My mom found this area to be the best for afternoon naps! Sunsets are amazing right from either of the decks and provide postcard-worthy photos. The same can be said for sunrise, but I'd recommend the master bedroom deck for catching the most beautiful pics. Another important feature is that Dunesbury is dog-friendly which was extremely important to me. My Jack Russell loved playing in the surf, digging on the beach, and napping in the shade back at the cottage. The kitchen was well-equipped and I easily located a muffin pan to make cupcakes, as well as a crockpot to cook dinner in one evening. I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful Dunesbury is and how relaxed I felt during my stay there.

We will stay here again!
My family just returned from our week long stay in Dunesbury. This property had everything we wanted and more! The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking tools you could possibly need. It’s as close as you can get to the ocean which was great because with young kids we have to haul a lot of stuff down to the beach! Our daughter slept comfortably in the provided pack-and-play, and our son thought the bunk beds were really fun. The screened in porch was definitely the grown-up’s favorite place to hang out after the kids’ bedtime! We will stay at Dunesbury again and next time we’ll bring our dog!

Cute house
The house was cute and the proximity to the beach was perfect. I rated a 4 on cleanliness just because it was a bit dusty, but bathrooms, linens, etc were all clean. We also called village realty with a question. The phone was answered promptly and our question was resolved well. There was an outdoor shower and hose that were helpful to have. The walk to the beach was as short as it could have been. It was a short sandy trail to the board walk over the sand dunes. There are some steep stairs over the dunes. I would not expect to get a beach wagon over it. Overall, we had a great stay!
