Turtle's Nest: Beautiful oceanfront home in Kill Devil Hills with a private pool, hot tub, rec room, theater room, elevator, and private walkway to the beach!

Turtle's Nest is the perfect place to reunite with family and friends! This beautiful oceanfront retreat offers all the amenities you need with the private pool (pool heat can be added for an additional fee), hot tub, poolside cabana, rec room, theater room, private walkway with a dune-top gazebo, and an elevator. The top-level great room with ocean views is expansive and offers comfortable seating for TV viewing, an upscale kitchen with two full-size refrigerators, two ranges, double ovens, two dishwashers, a microwave, and two dining areas where everyone can gather for those delicious meals. 

The movie enthusiast will love the theater room with tiered seating for 10, a projection screen, and a surround sound system. Enjoy some game time in the lower level rec room with a pool table, arcade game, and a wet bar with a full-size refrigerator for cold beverages and snacks.  The variety of sleeping accommodations with 12 bedrooms and nine of those with en-suites, make it possible for everyone to have a restful evening. 

The outdoor pool area will surely be a favorite hangout spot with the custom pool with an inset kiddie pool, the upper deck with poolside lounge chairs, and a cabana with a wet bar and a full-size refrigerator for poolside refreshments. The rooftop deck over the cabana will be a great place to end the day relaxing in the hot tub and enjoying the star-filled Outer Banks evening sky. 

Turtles Nest is located near many of our wonderful local restaurants, shops, and many outdoor activities and adventures.

NCDOT operates three stormwater ocean outfalls in the Town of Kill Devil Hills. These stormwater outfalls were installed in the early 1960s. They allow rainwater to drain away from the lower areas between the highways of U.S. 158 and N.C. 12, which assists with flood prevention. (See photo gallery) The town recommends not swimming within 200 ft of this pipe. The North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality regularly monitors the outfall sites and collects water samples to ensure there are no contaminants that would threaten human or marine life.

Very nice house and cleaner than most of our previous houses that we stayed in. It was our first time using Coastal Carolina, but it won't be our last.

This was our second year staying at the Turtles Nest (our 20th year vacationing here in the OBX). The house works perfect for our 4 generation family and the customer service is fantastic!! The house was beautiful, with plenty of space, and great location. The staff at Coastal were very quick to handle our issues with the pool. The house could use a deep cleaning as there was black mold on some of the vents. Some of the TV's didn't work or worked intermittently. The pool bar fridge was rusted, and the TV there didn't work, and we found a rat in the grill, because it had not been cleaned. An investment in painting and cleaning would increase the value of the house. We would consider staying there again if issues are addressed.

Your comments regarding TV functionality, and condition of the pool bar fridge are valuable, and we will address these concerns with our team and the owner. We do evaluations each off season and your comments will help with that evaluation. We will certainly look into the "mold" on the vents. We see this a lot and it is actually a build up of dust. As the we go through the summer often times the metal vents condensate which attracts dust and it has the look of mildew or mold. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future, with a better experience.

20th Annual OBX Family Vacay!
Our 4 generation family stayed in Hatteras for 18 years at the same rental vacation home every year. After the passing of my grandmother, we decided it was time to change locations and restart our tradition in a different home. We tried a different home last year and it wasn’t the “it” home for our family. This year we tried the Turtles Nest and the family loved its location and features. To see my family of 17 be so happy again, it was an easy yes to this being our new spot. What also sealed the deal for me was the customer service. They were responsive and our requests were addressed promptly! We have booked for next year and look forward to making many more memories with our annual family vacation in this house!!

Awesome house!
This house was perfect for our wedding and hosting our family! Everett was ABSOLUTELY amazing to work with, 10000% recommend him! The house is spacious and everyone can spread out, or gather together! Views are amazing! The outside space is great! We had some "issues" when we first arrived but Costal Carolina sent a cleaning crew out the next morning and everything was taken care of. The customer service, and personalized experience we received was beyond anything I've experienced before! I will definitely book through them, and this house again!

Awesome house
Our group had an amazing time at the Turtles Nest. The pool and kiddie pool was perfect for the days where the beach was too windy. The kitchen was stocked, plenty of common space for groups to spread out, and ample refrigerator space. Coastal Carolina was super attentive, and easy to get in touch with with any questions or concerns. We are very happy with our stay.

Amazing house
Our group loved this house. The indoor space was great. Open floor plan on the top floor with a big kitchen and lots of seating and 2 dishwashers! So many great outdoor spaces too. We loved being by the heated pool and using the cabana. This house was the perfect space for our group and the company is very easy to work with.
