Our stay at The Ranch exceeded the high expectations set by previous guests, proving that this home is just as beautifully cared for as other reviewers suggest. It perfectly balances great amenities with a deeply homey atmosphere, making it an ideal coastal retreat. I loved the open kitchen, ocean views, spacious parking and, more than anything, the very short walk to the ocean! Proximity to the waterfront made access to provisions and downtime more than easy. The property’s showers are spacious and the laundry outfit was quite handy to refresh our attire. The respectable neighborhood, a mix of permanent owners and rental properties, added quietness and respectability to the lane. Beyond the beach, access to shopping boutiques and grocery stores was conveniently available. I look forward to my next visit, recommending The Ranch as a special place to relax and recharge. Whether a morning coffee on the upper deck or an afternoon cocktail at sunset, this property will not disappoint!

Celebrating my birthday at The Ranch was everything I hoped for and more! While the online listing looked great, the photos truly don't do this place justice—it is even more stunning in person. From the moment we walked in, the home felt fresh, spotless, and beautifully cared for. The calming décor and thoughtfully chosen paint colors made it the perfect place to rest and recharge for my special getaway. The layout is ideal for a birthday getaway with family or friends, featuring king bedrooms with private ensuites that gave everyone comfort and privacy while keeping us connected. We were there with some family and had more than enough room. The upper living room quickly became my favorite spot to relax on the couch and look straight out at the ocean. We spent my birthday morning sipping coffee on the upper deck, listening to the waves crash below for a truly unforgettable start to the day. The kitchen, complete with gorgeous stainless steel appliances and artistic tilework, was perfectly stocked for whipping up a celebratory birthday dinner. The serenity of the entire property was unmatched, making it a perfect coastal retreat. The location in Duck is absolutely fantastic for a celebration. We easily grabbed supplies at the nearby Food Lion and Harris Teeter, and loved being so close to great restaurants, boutique shopping, and a deli. It’s just a very short walk to the beach, and the inside is packed with thoughtful touches like beautiful wood floors, books, DVDs, and TVs in every room. Between the incredibly comfortable bed and the fabulously spacious shower, The Ranch provided the ultimate blend of luxury and homey comfort. It has officially become our new favorite place in the Outer Banks, and we will definitely be booking again!

Every room smelled clean, the décor was tasteful and calming, and the paint colors were so thoughtfully chosen that we found ourselves simply sitting and enjoying the atmosphere. The layout is ideal for families or friends traveling together. The king bedrooms with private ensuites gave everyone comfort and privacy while still letting us enjoy time together in the shared spaces. The upper living room was a favorite spot — you can sit on the couch and look straight out at the ocean. The kitchen was another highlight. It was well stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the gorgeous stainless steel appliances made cooking a pleasure. We especially loved the artistic tilework — such a unique and beautiful touch. The views at The Ranch are truly unforgettable. The upper deck became our go to spot for morning coffee and quiet evenings. Looking out over the water and listening to the waves crash below felt like a true retreat. Even on cooler days, the serenity was unmatched. We noticed the surfboards available for guests — such a fun amenity, and we would have been out there in a heartbeat if the weather had been warmer. The location is fantastic. We passed both a Food Lion and a Harris Teeter on the way in, which made stocking up easy. It’s also close to great restaurants, boutique shopping, a deli, and a small market. Driving through the quaint town of Duck added to the charm of the trip. From the house it is literally a very short walk to get to the beach! Inside, the home is filled with thoughtful touches: many books and DVDs for cozy nights in, TVs in every room when you want a little downtime, and beautiful wood floors that add warmth to the entire space. The bed was comfortable and cozy, the shower was fabulously spacious. The Ranch gave us the perfect blend of views, privacy, comfort, and togetherness. It’s rare to find a place that feels both luxurious and deeply homey, but this one does. It has officially become our new favorite place in the Outer Banks - we will definitely book again!!

Our stay at this beach house in Duck was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we walked in, it felt less like a rental and more like a true home away from home...just with the ocean breeze and sandy toes to match. Everything you could possibly need was already there, and it was clear the owners put a lot of care into creating a space where guests feel genuinely at home. It struck the perfect balance between cozy and beachy—exactly what you want for a relaxing coastal getaway. The location was just as perfect. It was an easy, quick walk to the beach, making morning strolls and sunset trips effortless. At the same time, you’re just minutes from Duck’s shops, restaurants, and boardwalk, so grabbing dinner, ice cream, or browsing local stores couldn’t have been more convenient. It’s rare to find a place that feels this comfortable while still capturing that special beach-vacation magic. The owners clearly know how to make their guests feel welcome, and it shows in every detail. We would absolutely stay here again.

There are so many wonderful things about this house. The distance to the beach, the lovely neighborhood that is so quiet and my favorite spot is the upper deck. The wonderful breezes that come throw is so relaxing! The home is clean and perfect for a family. It’s convenient to the town of Duck. I highly recommend this home. We have stayed in it several times and look forward to staying again

The house was the perfect getaway for our small family. There is a primary bedroom on each floor so we could choose if we wanted to be upstairs or downstairs. Each bedroom also has an attached bathroom for more privacy. The kitchen had everything, and the views were amazing. Ocean view without staying beachfront! The house was exactly like the pictures show. Would definitely stay again!
