Ducks Cottage and The Sanderling invites you to the first installment of our monthly literary supper club—where each dinner is inspired by a carefully chosen book and thoughtfully paired menu. Our inaugural evening draws inspiration from Lessons in Chemistry, a sharp, funny, and empowering novel that celebrates curiosity, resilience, and the unexpected ways food brings people together. The menu will reflect the spirit of the story—bold, playful, and precise—while leaving room for surprise. Guests will gather over a multi-course dinner designed to spark conversation, connection, and a deeper appreciation for both the book and the meal. Come for the food, stay for the discussion, and leave with new perspectives (and maybe a favorite dish). We’ll kick off dinner and discussion at 6:00 PM.
