Exploring the OBX: Located in Nags Head, this home offers you and your guests an endless list of options for fresh and local dining, family-owned shopping and attractions for everyone's interests. If the rain has interrupted your beach day, head over to Roanoke Island where you can visit the NC Aquarium and see a variety of exhibits, including a shark tank, sea turtle rescue and even some jelly fish tanks.

Beach Access: Just a quick drive or short walk from the house! Head south on Virginia Dare Trail until you reach East Dowitcher where you can park and safely cross Virginia Dare Trail at a Pedestrian crosswalk. Beach access is located at E. Small Street, which is just a few houses north.

The house and hot tubs and pool were amazing! This was the perfect location as I got married at keepers galley, and it was centrally located to shops and close to the beach public access. Not a huge deal, but the floors needed to be mopped as our feet almost got completely black when walking around inside.

Fun house! Love that it has a king bed in each bedroom! Had all the amenities that we needed in the kitchen. And was neat and clean without a lot of clutter. Loved having coffee in the porch.

We had a great stay at Currituck Cottage! The home suited our needs very well and was very clean. It’s a super easy walk to the beach and close to many restaurants and things to do. The management company was great, too! Excellent communication! By far our best of three vacation rentals this summer! Thank you!

Would have been Awesome if only

House set up within the cul-de-sac was great when your family and friends rent the other houses also. Homes were very nice. However we had a horrible experience with trash removal. They have a community dumpster and each house gets 1 trash can. The instructions on the app, the fridge and Coastal Carolinas website says to place your trash cans at end of drive on pick up day. Well that is not how it works, the town will not pick up the trash cans because they aren't standard they are supposed to be dumped into community dumpster and ours was over flowing from the previous guests. It was horrible, the smell the overflowing and the birds and rodents eating the trash. Multiple calls & pictures later dumpster did not get dumped until the day before checkout day. And I'm leaving out the reasons why it wasn't dumped and how much I cleaned the trash around it which was not ours to begin with. Rental agency needs to properly instruct guets on what to do with trash and how the town collection operates. And of course we were here for a wedding.

Beautiful Getaway

The house was beautiful and stocked with everything which was so nice. There was plenty of room and morning coffee on the deck with an overhang was a plus! The kids loved the pool and the beach was only footsteps away. Our hosts were wonderful! We will be back!! Jane

Loved our stay at Haven in the Banks!

We loved the home! It was perfect for our family. Smart TVs in every room - everything we needed for cooking family dinners. We had two rainy days at the beach and the hot tub became our favorite feature! Wish the check in time was earlier than 4 PM and the checkout a bit later than 10 AM. I would recommend this home.

Great for family/friends trip or event

As our first VRBO experience, I can't imagine any better! We had two toddlers, my husband and I, and both sets of our parents in the home. The photos don't do justice to the size of the rooms. The space in the home, the furniture, everything is really well thought out. There was plenty of storage, amazing amenities (parking, the pool/tiki bar, etc.), and wonderfully appointed with all of the things you didn't realize you needed to bring. Tara was very responsive and the other home renters are now our "new" friends. The location is a close walk to the beach access.If you are able to book one of these homes, book it now. If you are looking to have an event like a wedding or family reunion, try to book all of the homes.

Perfect OBX Vacation!!!

Haven On The Banks is a really interesting concept that turned out to be ideal for our family and friends. Everything about Currituck Cottage was absolutely perfect! Brand new property, great location, really fun pool area. The cottage had everything we needed and wanted. We really loved our OBX vacation!!!
