DK390 Tidy Duck

This is our third year to stay at Tidy Duck and we hope to continue the tradition for years to come. Tidy Duck offers so much to its visitors. The location is perfect; it is only a walk across the street to the beach, a ten minute drive to the grocery, and only minutes from the town of Duck. The cottage is clean and well kept. The pool is perfect! Having the beds premade for us is such a gift after a long drive. The only suggestions I have are one, the grill needs to be replaced. It is very old and very hard to control the flame. And two, the kitchen could possibly use a few more cooking and storage supplies. A few years ago I actually purchased some storage bowls with lids and left them there in hopes to help other future guests. I was pleasantly surprised to see most of the set still there to be utilized. All in all, the whole vacation at Tidy Duck was amazing.

We absolutely loved the location. It was clean for the most part...one ceiling fan needed cleaned. The staff was amazing. Just an fyi...the sink in the master bathroom does NOT back up...the stopper just needs taken out...sorry for running you out 2 times for that. Also, didn't know until we got there but the luggage elevator requires a deposit for the remote. The ice maker was a great resource. Any issue we had (or thought we had) was resolved very quickly with delight. Friday to Friday is the best! Traffic was no issue at all and we got there a little after lunch and they were so kind to allow us to park there to go to the beach and it was available by 2pm which was amazing. Only thoughts for our family...4 couples so substituting one room with a double or queen would have been nice.. also no bathtub for little ones and couldn't find any potholders but we made it work and had a wonderful week. Loved being close to the shops and boardwalk with great places to walk and ride bike. Thank you! Definitely hope to come back again soon!

Great location. Elevator for luggage a huge perk. Nice kitchen and living area. Great views of the ocean from the deck. Beds are awful, need to be upgraded to coincide with the rental price of this house. You go on vacation to relax, and it’s tough to get a good nights sleep in the current bed situation. TVs in all bedrooms would be an added bonus.

House was very clean and comfortable. Views are great from thebtop deck. Pool (not heated) was very nice and hot tub was fantastic! The beach access walkway is directly across the street; super convenient! The luggage lift was a very nice bonus. Be sure to bring your own beach chairs, umbrella and cooler. Will definitely stay here in the future.

We enjoyed our stay. The location was absolutely perfect. The private access to the beach was wonderful. Everything was in order with the house and as it should be. The only thing I would suggest would be for more seating in the living room area.

The location on a dead-end, private road, proximity to beach (less than 40 yards) cleanliness of the house and pool, and fairly remodeled bathrooms made our week stay enjoyable. You can always find some flaws, but nothing to make us say we would not rent this house again. Had a wasp problem outside, called, and within 30 monitors pest guy was there to address the issue. Kitchen has a Keurig (plus), water pressure great, plenty of hot water, and that funky outdoor dumbwaiter lift was a major plus. Never saw that before.

We have stayed in this beach house many times through the years. Some of our best family memories are from our stays in Duck. The pool and the hot tub are great! You can see the ocean from the decks, There is a very short walk to the beach with no gigantic dunes to climb over. It is conveniently located near where all of the action is in Duck which makes it fun. Nice walking and bike riding paths help you burn off the calories from all the great food and beverages you can have there. They have added lots of new furniture, updated the bedrooms, bathrooms and the kitchen, as well as even adding accent carpets throughout the house. Just a lovely, lovely place to spend a week or more with family and friends. We are already trying to figure out when we can get down there next.

Steps from the beach. We walked to down town Duck. 10 minutes from a Walmart. Location was so convenient for a family.
