What is OBX Pridefest?

Outer Banks Pridefest is a gay pride festival, FULL of events and ALL INCLUSIVE for all LGBTQ folks and our supporters and friends!


The Main Event

Our main event is the FREE, Family-Friendly, Pride Festival on Saturday, September 13th from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The festival includes bands, drag performances, entertainers, local restaurants, adult beverages, and vendors.

The Saturday Pride festival is located at Roanoke Island Festival Park in Downtown Manteo, NC.

Swim-Bike-Run! The Outer Banks Triathlon starts with a swim in the Croatan Sound on Roanoke Island, Manteo. Two days of multi-sport racing including 2 distances, Olympic and Sport. Aquabike options too!

A regional kite festival that brings some of the nation’s best stunt kite pilots right here to our backyard. Come out and join us for two days of kite-flying fun (Fri-Sat) for the whole family. Enjoy massive display kites flying high, including a 100-foot octopus, an 80-foot panda, and a 50-foot fish. And participate in FREE stunt and power kite lessons given by pros. Throughout the event, come watch world-class displays of artistry and skill with kite flying set to music, synchronized performances, and more!
