Celebrating Three Years in Business!

On November 2nd we will have officially been in business for three years. 

How quickly time flies when you’re doing what you love!

In the fall of 2021, we set out to provide Outer Banks homeowners with an option for a locally owned and operated property management partner focusing on what matters most: community, relationships and hospitality.

Our primary guiding principle was “quality over quantity”, focusing our efforts on providing the best experience to our homeowners and guests. For us, being able to offer quality service starts with company culture. To attract the best employees, you have to carefully cultivate a culture of pride, respect and community that will attract and retain the best on the beach. And we are so proud of the team we have built!

We have grown to employ 24 full-time employees, all living and working locally on the Outer Banks, most possessing a NC Brokers license. Every single member of our team has a passion for providing outstanding service, creating special experiences for our guests and building trust in our homeowners. That passion shows in the feedback we receive, as we have earned a 5-star Google rating, unmatched on the Outer Banks. Once you have the right team, then you can accomplish nearly anything, and we have!  

We have been blessed with 5 “Coastland Gold People’s Choice Awards” for customer service, real estate agency, property management (twice in a row) and vacation rentals; the Market Leader award for the Outer Banks by Comparent designating us among the best in the country and the best on the Outer Banks; and we were honored to receive the Small Business of the Year award this year by the Outer Banks Chamber of Commerce.

Supporting the community is another of our guiding principles. First, for a small business, we are proud to offer great employee benefits including health insurance and a 401k option. Ensuring our employees are able to comfortably live and work on the Outer Banks is critical to our company culture.  

Coastal Carolina Vacations and Sales is giving back and impacting our community in many ways. We are a proud sponsor of a number of local organizations and events, including: Cancer Shucks (benefiting the Outer Banks Hospital), Outer Banks Sporting Events (benefiting local non-profit organizations), the Dare County Boat Builders Fishing Tournament (awarding scholarships to Dare County students), the Outer Banks Dementia Friendly Coalition, Yoga in the Park (offering free weekly yoga classes at Dowdy Park through the Town of Nags Head), the Duck Jazz Festival (supporting a free event with educational opportunities for local students and a unique entertainment experience for residents and visitors). 

This celebration is about so much more than just how long we’ve been in business or that we’ve grown from zero properties to 175 in just three short years. We are succeeding in so much more than that. We are creating a positive impact on our guests, owners, vendors, and the community. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the difference we make each day, whether it’s in the experiences we create, the partnerships we build, or the ways we give back. We couldn’t be prouder of how far we’ve come and the legacy we’re building together.

And of course, it doesn’t stop here. Our vision for the future of Coastal Carolina Vacations and Sales is to maintain the personal touch that defines every relationship we build—whether with our owners, guests, or vendors—while leading the way in our community and beyond. By leveraging the right technologies, we’ll empower our teams to be more efficient and responsive, creating an exceptional experience at every level of our business. Our vision is to grow our business and positive impact while staying true to the values that got us here.
