The Fly Into Spring & Easter Eggstravaganza is a captivating event that takes place on the wide sandy beaches of the Outer Banks. Kite enthusiasts from all over gather to showcase their unique and colorful kites, transforming the sky into a mesmerizing display of art and skill. Visitors can participate in kite-making workshops or simply marvel at the impressive aerial acrobatics. Across the street at Kitty Hawk Kites, kids are able to get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny and join in on the annual Jockey’s Ridge Crossing Easter Egg Hunt. Event dates are March 29-March 30, 2024 from 10am to 4pm. The kite festival is free for everyone, and the Easter egg hunt is $7/person. Early Registration is recommended.

For those seeking a serene experience, Eastertide in the Gardens is a must-visit attraction. Taking place on Saturday, March 30th from 10am to 2pm, this is fun, family event for all to enjoy. The beautifully manicured gardens of the Elizabethan Gardens burst into bloom during the spring season, creating a captivating tapestry of colors and fragrances. To prepare for the Easter Holiday, the gardens turn into an Easter egg party where families can enjoy a visit from the Easter Bunny, egg races, Easter hat contests and live music and games for the duration of the event. Tickets do sell out quickly, so registering and purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
