The location was perfect, we had privacy, but was close to everything. They had tons of toys for the pool, useful things like chairs/umbrella for the beach and even a wagon to haul it all there! The house was stocked with puzzles, games & smart TV's for any days spent inside. We walked or biked to the beach each day, since we didn't have a pass to park. Even though the home is allowed to park in the lot at the beach, we weren't given any passes to use. We found a few great restaurants to recommend as well: - Village Table & Tavern (Duck) - Paper Canoe (Duck) - Bangkok (Duck) - Ocean BLVD (Southern Shores) - The Chill Spot (Corolla) Steamers was overrated and we heard the same about NC Grille, so didn't go there. We loved the pool (which was clean and perfect) and everything about the home itself. We enjoyed the beach daily and loved that it took us maybe 5 minutes to walk there. The turtle ponds on either side of the walk were a treat for our kids. Access was wonderful and the beach itself was beautiful. We also loved being able to access the sound right down the street and had a nice quiet family walk there on our last day of vacation. It was close to Duck for nice meals and walks on the boardwalk. It was also close to a grocery store, which was helpful because we cooked most of our meals at the house. The kitchen had just about everything we needed (the only thing that would be nice is a pair of tongs, and some better cooking utensils, but we made do).
