They were built to withstand the elements and to be comfortable through the summer months. The wraparound covered porches with the lean-out benches offer a shaded, cool spot to enjoy the ocean views and salty breezes off the ocean. What a beautiful oceanfront home!!! We’ve been staying here for many years. Just when I think it can’t get any better- other improvements are made!!! We thoroughly enjoy ourselves here! Just about anything you need is provided!!! Wonderful spaces indoors and out!!! We will keep coming back as long as we can!!!

This place was incredible! Updated accommodation within a historic cottage. It was a walk back in time with tastefully updated amenities! Absolutely will stay again!!!

Great Family Accommodations
Our extended family loved this house! Two babies and 8 adults were very comfortable. The kitchen was wonderfully appointed, games and activities were plentiful, and the porch was amazing!! The house was well equipped for children, having a highchair and baby gates, and a baby pool and slide for use. We loved it and hope to return!

OBX at its best!!!
What an amazing week we spent this year with friends at the Frank Wood cottage!!!! The current owners made noticeable upgrades to the kitchen and living room since we had been there last…. and we thought it was fantastic before! The whole place is spacious- plenty of room for small group and large group gatherings both inside the house and outside on the wonderful wrap around porch. The back steps lead right to the ocean…a beautiful sight to see first thing in the morning. Coffee on the back porch is delightful. The kitchen is so well-stocked, has a great island, and provides both a Keurig and standard coffee pot in the corner coffee station. Numerous beach chairs and boogie boards were also available. We look forward to another week here next summer!

Loved the well-stocked house (especially the kitchen). Didn’t need to pack the large low country boil pot, blender, beach chairs, boogie boards. Loved the coffee bar, drink bar, second refrigerator and built in cooler outside. How convenient. Huge covered and uncovered porches with many seating options (including a large hammock) were amazing. Large bedrooms and bathrooms for each couple couldn’t be more spacious and convenient. Thank you for allowing our large family to stay in this wonderful historic home.

Great cottage
Clean, well taken care of property. If you love traditional Nags Head it’s for you! Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Porches are the best part!

A fabulous cottage, great kitchen, comfortable rooms. Great staff to work with, very accommodating. I believe they are updating blinds and fixing a few windows but lovely, comfortable place. Well stocked bar and kitchen.
