The home was even better than expected and exceeded our expectations. Great location with easy beach access a short walk away. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the dining and cookware we needed, and plenty of towels and linens were provided. The washer and dryer on the first floor were extremely useful. The hot tub and pool were clean and a welcome feature for us! Coastal Carolina Vacations was available and responsive to all of our questions and provided us with clear instructions and good recommendations for local restaurants and activities. We discovered it was originally built in 1946, which gives it a lot of charm yet with lots of nice updates. We especially loved the large table for 12 and the pool outside was a true winner for days that red flags were up at the beach. Even the days that we went to the beach, we still relaxed in the pool later in the afternoon and evening. The outside entrance to a bathroom from the pool area was so convenient. There are three separate TV rooms for adults, teens and little kids to watch age appropriate shows/movies. We cooked the whole time we were there and I would recommend a better set of pans. It was obvious that previous renters were unaware that metal utensils or knives should not be used on nonstick surfaces and they were in bad shape. There was one nice stainless steel pan that we used over and over again so we were fine with that. Pots were fine. There was a very bad storm in the early part of our stay which lightning affected some of the electrical and the HVAC unit at the house but Coastal Carolina vacation rentals was there quickly and got everything up and running again. See the new renovations and changes - looks even better than the 2 years that we stayed. Only recommendation I see is that it could use a new grill and grill tools. We love the house! The washer didn't work the first day we got there 3 years ago and they brought a brand new one a few hours later. This place doesn't disappoint! Can't wait to return!! The kitchen was very well stocked and they even had a crockpot. The kids had their own living room. The screened in porch was so nice to sit and watch thunderstorms. Red Drum taphouse next door for a drink or dinner. Pool and jacuzzi were great. Jacuzzi covered under the deck so still available to use if it’s raining. We were left more towels and supplies than we thought. We had some tiny ants the first day and they sent pest control over right away and we never saw another ant our entire stay. The only thing that wasn’t clearly specified in the listing is that one of the bedrooms is detached from the rest of the house, you access it from the deck off the main living room. That bedroom had its own full bathroom. It still worked out fine for us, but just some thing for people to be aware of. They also had beach chairs at the property.
