The house is very bright, comfortable and roomy, with super comfortable beds. Everything was clean and well stocked, except spices: here is literally nothing there, no salt, pepper or anything like that. This is mentioned in the description of the house, so we were prepared. We did have a bit of an ant issue in the kitchen and two bathrooms, but they were quickly eliminated with the insect spray provided. We loved the ample, comfortable, furniture and room to spread out. The pool table was a hit! Many games were played there, and the ping pong table in the garage is fun, too. We did not get to use the hot tub because the idea that we'd have to get out in freezing weather in our bathing suits was too much, with temperatures in the 20's and low 30's all week. But there was plenty to do to keep us occupied (lots of puzzles). A huge t.v. in the living room and media room was perfect for watching movies. The t.v. remote situation on the 2nd level was hard to figure out, because some remotes didn't work properly, and were switched between rooms, plus there are many remotes that don't seem to belong to any equipment. The location of the house is wonderful. It's on a quiet street but across the street from a shopping area with many stores, including a well stocked grocery store, and Duck Donuts! A big shout out to the Mexican restaurant La Fogata, which is less than a minute walk from the house. Best Mexican food I've eaten in years! They are open during the winter, and very reasonably priced. We really love the house and were sad that we had to leave two days early because of a bad nor' easter on the way, with forecasted blizzard conditions. We couldn't afford to get stuck on the OBX, possible without power. The heating in the house works very well, and it was always nice and toasty. The doors could benefit from weather strips, though, because cold air can be felt around the door jambs. The home is right on the beach with a walkway over. The pool was nice - unfortunately we stayed during the heat advisory so we didn't attempt the hot tub lol. The kitchen has nice amenities- love the ice machine! Nice having 2 dishwashers and 2 fridges as well as 2 washer dryers. Appliances looked new. Plenty of room in the dining area. The pool table and ping pong table were fun to have. The younger kids enjoyed the media room. The pool and balcony furniture were some type of wood - nice to sit on - not plastic - tho the pool loungers were plastic. Overall a very nice house. Coastal Carolina were great at reaching out with issues and very responsive to texts from us. We loved our private boardwalk to beach, the super comfortable beds, the pool table, and the two dining room tables, and two dishwashers. There was plenty of room for us all to have our own spaces too. We were walking distance from grocery and home stores but the house still felt tucked into the dunes and private when facing the beach. The house was comfortable, an easy walk to the beach, and very close to shopping and restaurants. The most appreciated part of our stay at this location was the rental company. They were quick to respond, we only had one minor issue on our stay. The pool pump stopped running, (on Sunday) we sent a text message not expecting a quick turnaround. Coastal Carolina however responded immediately and someone was there within hours and serviced the pool. We had no other issues the rest of our stay. We’ve had experiences with other rental companies in the past and none have ever been this attentive.
