Welcome to Crabby Crib, a beautiful four bed, three and a half bath oceanside home in Corolla Bay.  This spacious home is perfect for families or small groups looking for a carefree vacation on the Outer Banks.  Thoughtfully furnished and equipped with everything that you'll need, guests at Crabby Crib will feel right at home.  Conveniently located in the heart of Corolla, the home is just a quick walk to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and with the beach cart available for guest use, transporting umbrellas and chairs to the beach is a breeze! 

Enjoy the convenience of a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing meals during your stay and enjoy your morning coffee or meals out on the deck. The living area is cozy and inviting, with comfortable furniture and a flat screen TV for catching all of the big games or for the rainy day movie marathons.  Crabby Crib features 4 bedrooms, each with plenty of space to stretch out and relax. 

Exploring the area: After a day at the beach, retreat to the privacy of your own hot tub or spend the afternoon at the community pool, just steps away from the house. Corolla Bay community offers sidewalks, a swimming pool, a bathhouse, shuffleboard, basketball court, horseshoes, and picnic areas. Centrally located in Corolla, you are within driving distance of the Currituck Beach Lighthouse, Historic Corolla Park and Corolla Village, and the four-wheel drive beaches as well as many local restaurants, shops, and other outdoor activities.

Beach Access: Head to the right out of the Corolla Bay neighborhood onto Herring Street.  The raised access walkway is at the end of the street and provides easy access to beach!

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Crabby Crib! The amenities of the house and neighborhood were more than adequate for our energetic group of 5 kiddos with ages ranging from 3 to 12. The proximity of the beach was perfect, the community pool was refreshing, and the hot tub was relaxing. The house was also a great size for our big group of 8 total, and definitely family friendly!

Very Clean, comfy beds, and best location for beach - included was hot tub in yard, and a stones throw from pool and playground. Perfect for families of all ages or a great “get-away” for a couple. We look forward to returning soon - great shopping and restaurants in the immediate area. Minutes from Harris Teeter also - BIG plus! And, thanks for the beach wagon and available chairs, body boards and kids toys. That made beach trips too easy. Can’t say enough about the easy check in/out process! Already planning our next stay!!

LOVED IT!
We had an emergency last second booking and the office was SO WONDERFUL! Got back to me within an hour and got me and my group into this cute house so we weren't stranded for the week! The house was so adorable! The decor is beachy and cute and there is a pretty Corolla poster on the 2nd floor. The beds were hotel quality and so comfy. The towels were wrapped up and fresh for us. The kitchen wad big and beautiful. We loved the views from the balconies and very much enjoyed our stay! Even the pool and surrounding community was very clean and well kept. Absolutely would stay again! The office was always responsive to questions and so helpful!

Terrific beach option for a family
Great home with quick access to the beach! Our kids also loved bouncing back and forth between the hot tub and the swimming pool. The location in Whalehead is terrific, can just pop into Corolla village quickly. Great spot for our family.

Great vacation!
House was roomy, walking distance to beach. The walkway really helps along with the beach wagon. Chairs and toys included with house would be great for kids. Gas grill and hot tub were nice. Great little Neighborhood! Community pool was awesome to have!

Lots of space
Three generations visited for the week and there was ample space to spread out separately or meet together for family dinners. The community pool was a welcome addition for cooling off from the walk back from the beach. Not too busy at lunch or dinner times. The beach cart provided was terrific for bringing our own chairs and umbrellas down to the beach. The cart made the walkway from house to beach quite easy. Nice to have a gas grill to cook also - it seems most houses had charcoal grills in years past - a welcome upgrade here!

Kite Tails in Corolla, NC
My friends and I so loved our visit to Corolla and our stay at Kite Tails. The house was comfortable and well-stocked. It was great to be just a few blocks from the beach and a close drive to shops and restaurants. We felt relaxed and at home the very first day, and we were certainly return to Kite Tails again!

Quick weekend trip
Loved the location! Quick walk to the beach. Everything was nice and clean. Weather wasn’t the greatest, but got to spend a little time in the hot tub. Loved that it came with a basketball for the bb court, ball was flat but picked up a cheap ball pump. My daughter was excited to see 3 bicycles, unfortunately the tires were flat and we couldn’t find a pump for that. Overall a very nice getaway, first time to the obx area. Next time we’ll come when the pool is open for the season!

Great house with lots of extras provided by owner
House came with lots of beach “essentials” provided by owner that we were not expecting but really appreciated. Kids loved the hot tub.

Great location, comfortable unit
Spacious, comfortable unit with reasonable walk to the beach. 3 full baths (one en-suite), powder room in kitchen. Balconies/decks a nice touch. AC works well, plenty of parking. Only minor complaints are noise related, some can't be helped-- toilet flushes very loud throughout the house, neighborhood noisy in the evening and when the trash trucks come (and never seem to leave..) We had a great time!

Relaxing Stay
The house was very nice and the amenities were great. The walk to the beach was a bit longer than expected but thanks to the times in the outside closet we were able to wheel everything down. The house had the perfect amount of space and was very clean. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Wonderful House w/Great Amenities
We loved this house. Very comfortable,clean and bright! Lots of beach chairs and sand toys and two Bicycles. Great association with pool and volleyball court which we took full advantage of. Only issue for me was that there was no “outdoor shower.” It was a shower head on the side of the house that was cold and you couldn’t really shower, just wash off the sand. Other than that everything was amazing and definitely will stay again! Thank you!

Great Family Beach House
This is our second stay at Kite Tales and we will be back. They house is well maintained and perfect for a family vacation. The house comes with all you need from beach accessories, bikes, hot tub, grill, etc. Easy access to beach with a 0.4 mile walk on the path. The rental management company is responsive. I would recommend this property.
